TU B’AV: The Jewish Holiday of Love, July 23 2021

SHIUR 1700 Hamburg Tu B’av: The Jewish Holiday of Love, is the first in a special series part of the Juedisches Leben in Deutschland 1700 Initiative, that the SHIUR Project is proud to be a part of.

The Jewish month of Av is historically associated with tragedy. As the moon reaches its full state on the Fifteenth of Av, we transform our sadness into joy, and celebrate love and renewal. We will explore the transition from loss and emptiness, to the new forms of life generated precisely through loss.
