Do Jews Have a Place in Germany's Art Spaces?
Join us for Shabbat dinner at Mountains Gallery in Mitte as we engage in a text based discourse led by Micki Weinberg. We'll explore the structural roots of the posthumanist and antisemitic trends in the contemporary art scene—tracing their origins from the fascist futurists of the 1920s to art schools and cultural institutions today.
The SHIUR Shabbat in the Gallery series is held in concert with SHIUR gatherings in Tel Aviv, Berlin, and New York, where Jews and Arabs, Israelis, Iranians, and other nationalities, come together through text-based discourse at art spaces; thinking together, reading together, developing ideas and experiences together.
Tickets include full programming, wine & drinks, catered vegetarian dinner by Chef Alena Gallagher, challah and Israeli dips from Beba restaurant.
